WHAT ARE COOKIES?

Cookies and other similar technologies such as local shared objects, flash cookies, or pixels, are tools used by Web servers to stock and recover information about their visitors, so as to offer the proper operation of the site.

This is done through the use of devices that allow the Web server to record various data concerning the user, like their preferences for the visualization of the pages of that server, name and password, products that would most interest them, etc.

COOKIES AFFECTED BY THE REGULATIONS AND EXCEPTED COOKIES

Following the directive of the EU, the cookies that require informed consent on the part of the user are the analytic, publicity, and affiliation cookies, with the exception of the technical character ones and those that are necessary for the operation of the website or the benefit of services expressly solicited by the user.

About the types of cookies, five big groups exist:

Social Cookies: are those necessary for external social networks.

Affiliate Cookies: allows to track visits from other websites, with which the website establishes an affiliation contract (affiliated companies).

Publicity and Behavioral Cookies: collect information about the preferences and personal selections of the user (retargeting).

Operational and Technical Cookies: are those strictly necessary for the use of the website and for the benefit of the hired service.

COOKIES THAT ARE USED IN THIS WEBSITE

PHPSESSID: technical and strictly necessary cookie that contains the identifier of the session. It is eliminated when the navigator is closed.

_lang: technical and strictly necessary cookie that contains the language of the session. It is eliminated when the browser is closed.

ac_cookies: technical and strictly necessary cookie that contains the confirmation of whether the installation of cookies has been accepted. It expires 1 year from the last update.

_ga: Google Analytics cookie that enables the control function of unique visits. The first time that a user enters the website through a browser, this cookie will be installed. When this user returns to the site with the same browser, the cookie will consider it to be the same user. Only in the case that the user changes the browser will they be considered a different user. It expires 2 years from the last update.

_gat: This cookie is associated with Google Analytics Universal. It is used to limit the request speed- the limitation of the data collected in the sites with the highest traffic. It expires in 10 minutes.

_utma: Google Analytics cookie that registers the date of the first and last time that the user visits the website. It expires 2 years from the last update..

_utmc: Google Analytics cookie used for the interoperability with the tracking code urchin.js. It is eliminated when the browser is closed.

_utmt: Google Analytics cookie. This cookie is used to process the type of request made by the user. It expires at the end of the session.

_utmv: Google Analytics cookie. This cookie is used to segment demographic data. It expires at the end of the session.

_utmz: Google Analytics cookie that stores the source of traffic or a campaign to explain how the user arrived to the website. It expires 6 months from the last update.

REVOCATION OF THE CONSENT TO INSTAL COOKIES HOW TO ELIMINATE COOKIES FROM THE BROWSER

Chrome

  1. Select the Tools icon
2. Click on Configuration.
3. Click on Show Advanced Options.
4. In the section “Privacy” click on Configuration of Content.
  • To eliminate cookies: Click on All cookies and data of sites…
  • Don’t allow the storage of cookies.
5. Click on Eliminate browser data (clear the Caché). 6. Close and restart the browser.

Internet Explorer. Version 11

  1. Select Tools | Internet Options.
2. Click on the file General.
3. In the section “Search History”, click on Eliminate search history upon leaving. 4. Select Eliminate archives.
5. Select Eliminate cookies.
6 Click Eliminate.
7. Click Accept.
8. Close and restart the browser.

Firefox. Version 18

  1. Select Firefox | History | Clean recent history.
2. Next to “Details”, click on the down arrow.
3. Select the following checkboxes: Cookies, Caché, Active sesión beginnings 4. Using the “Interval of time to erase” in the dropdown menu, select All.
5. Click Erase now.
6. Close and restart the browser.
